Well folks, can I be first to say how well the 2009 Orkney Blues Weekend went.

Well I'll be the second,,,,what a magnificent weekend it was,great music from visiting artistes as well as local bands,,see you all next year

I was good for nothing on Monday, that says it all!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again..................
"You can't beat an old bloke for the Blues" - excepting Bad Taste, of course! B

On behalf of the guys from Wang Dang Delta it was an absolute joy to perform at this festival this year. We would be happy to grace the bill at any future stage. You've got some real talent up there. Bad Taste show great promise - exceptionally strong players playing a great choice of classic blues rock material. Bad Liars were great too. Really enjoyed the harp playing in the Fastliners set at the finale concert.
Great to meet so many braw people and the hospitality from start to finish was overwhelming. Special thanks to Colin on the sound and toSteev - where do these guys get their stamina?

Then, sadly, grinds right to a halt!

Who's job is to heft and to heave.
He sets up for the bands, with their amps. and mike stands,
And with THAT back, that's hard to believe!

You can go take a hike,
He's keeping them inside his kecks!

The un-sung hero is Chris,
He won't give a meeting a miss,
Provides web-site & printing, works hard without stinting,
Then spent the last night,
On the piss!

What the pubs do,
Should not be forgot,
They line up the drinks,
Shot by shot.,
Provide room for The Blues,
And pay all their dues,
And the owners are really quite hot!
