The sweet taste of Blueberry Jam

DUO Blueberry Jam made their first official appearance at the Blues Weekend, having played in the festival’s blues jams in previous years.
Talented sisters Katy and Emma Thomas both sing and play fiddle, keyboard and guitar. They write a lot of their own material and are promising songwriters.
As well as showcasing their own material throughout the weekend, they played interesting covers of classic songs such as Elvis Presley’s Hound Dog and I Don’t Wanna Know About Evil by John Martyn.
Hopefully as their confidence increases they will build up a better rapport with the audience; it would have added to their performance if they’d introduced more of their songs and maybe told a few stories about where their musical choices came from.
A good first outing for these girls.
